For the most part, the 78 embersilk cloths looted and from the chests, plus the celestial essences from disenchanting were the most profitable. Altogether, in one hour of farming, I made out with significant mats, including the items received by disenchanting the greens. In addition to the volatile earths I looted, I received 18 treasure chests from the Obsidian Stoneslaves, and some of those chests also contained volatile earth, among other valuable items and gold. Worgs were attacking and the Army of the Dead was getting the Shaman down when I ran out of options and died. The Stoneslave was hitting with something else besides the rupture that wacked me for about 6k a pop, and very quickly. I also decided not to attack unless my favorite DK spell-Army of the Dead-was up. I went back to SW, repaired (15g) and got some protection potions and scrolls. All this stuff happened VERY fast.īy this time I was getting a little heated because the difficulty of this quest was so much greater than those I had encountered in Twilight Highlands so far, not to mention all the buffs that got wasted each time I died. I had the Stoneslave guy down pretty low when the final bolt from the Shaman hit me and I died again. That appeared to be working but the Shaman guy was wacking me from a distance with the same 5k bolts he had been throwing at my flying machine. I tried the suggestion where you rush the mob when the line first appears and do a 180 from behind him. So, as others have mentioned, the important thing is to avoid the rupture lines and not pull a bunch of mobs. Holy crap, I can see this one won't be easy! The mobs travel around this area in groups, like the patrols you see in dungeons, making it harder to keep from agroing them as you fight your intended target.Īs I was writing this, one of those Shaman dudes shot a 5k DoT bolt of some kind at my flying machine. The next thing I knew, lotsa mobs were all over us, the ground blew up, and not even the Army of the Dead had time to save us.
Comment by DractulamedeNo one has mentioned that this mob is the object of the quest "Potential Energy."Īs a lvl 84 DK, I had done about a half-dozen quests in Twilight Highlands without much problem and this quest calls for the killing of 10 of these things so I pulled the first one with Death Grip and me and my ghoul went to work.
